Biography

Larysa Medina is a graphic designer and artist originally from Alamosa, Colorado. When she was 6 years old she moved to Denver with her family in hopes of finding bigger and better opportunities in the city. She grew up drawing with her mom and grandpa where they used charcoal and graphite to create illustrations which she applies today in her current work as well as acrylic paintings.

Once Larysa was Junior in high school she started looking for ways to hopefully apply her creative interests in a profession which is where she found the graphic design program at Warren Tech and completed their two year program. After graduation from that program and high school, she decided to further her education at the University of Colorado Denver where she received her BFA in Digital Design in 2023.

Since then she has been working as a freelance graphic designer and artist and has worked on a variety of projects as well as co-curated a few art shows. Larysa’s inspiration comes from her culture and traditions as a Chicana but also from the tattoo community which has influenced her style of work. Today she continues to focus on creating and hopes to do more work within her community. She also is a tattoo apprentice at the Ta2 Collective in Lakewood, CO.
