Community Programs
CHAC offers engaging cultural arts workshops for schools, libraries, and organizations. Our programs are led by experienced Maestros (master teachers) who guide participants through hands-on arts and crafts courses. Workshops are available in English, Spanish, or both, and are customized for various age groups, from K-12 students to family and community audiences.
You can choose to host workshops at the CHAC Gallery or have our instructors come to your location. Pricing starts at $150 for 15 students, plus a $50 travel fee. Financial aid is available upon request for all programs.

Frida Kahlo Headbands

Frida was a self-taught painter, best known for her self-portraits. At eighteen years old, Kahlo was seriously injured in a bus accident. She had to recover in bed for more than a year.
During this time, Frida began to pass the time by painting still life and self-portraits. Her country's popular culture inspired Frida. This headband is a fun way to celebrate Frida's style.

Frida Kahlo, a self-taught painter, is known for her self-portraits. After a bus accident at eighteen, she began painting during her recovery. Her art blends Mexican culture, folk elements, and autobiographical themes, often labeled as Surrealism or Magical Realism.
