About The Event
Join the Chicano Humanities & Arts Council for the 17th annual "Milagros del Corazón" (Miracles of the Heart) Fundraiser 2024 on Sat., Feb. 10th from 1:00-4:00 PM at VFW Post 501, located at 4747 W. Colfax in Denver, CO.
"Milagros del Corazón" is held annually to support CHAC’s year-long educational programming. This year over 70 CHAC artists and community members, have created one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted “art hearts”, to be auctioned off. These beautiful unique pieces represent each artist’s individual vision and sense of story. Family Friendly- Free- Open to the Public.
Hearts will be auctioned off during the evening’s silent auction, along with other artwork and gift baskets. Find the perfect Valentine’s Day gift for your loved ones, while giving back to CHAC Gallery. Food and entertainment will be provided along with an artist meet and greet.
This year “Milagros del Corazon” is dedicated to long-time CHAC member, former CHAC Executive Director and Vice Chair, Lucille Ruibal Rivera. Rivera dedicated her time, talent, and treasure to preserving the legacy of CHAC for over 30 years. She passed away this past November, a victim of Domestic Violence. Proceeds from the event will be dedicated in part to helping CHAC establish a new educational art program to help families of Domestic Violence. Join us for this inspirational event as we honor and remember the woman who gave her heart and soul to CHAC.
Need help creating your own art heart? CHAC is hosting a Milagros del Corazon-Heart Workshop on Jan. 27th from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm at the CHAC 40 West Gallery located at 7060 W. 16th Ave. Lakewood, CO 80214. The fee is $15 for the workshop, plus a $5 suggested donation for the heart form.
