Free Movie and Collage Making Event!

On July 14th, 53 years ago, the Young Lords occupied Lincoln Hospital and demanded accessible health care for their community. What can we learn from this brave, overshadowed group? Join us for a showing of the documentary "Takeover" that takes us through the day these Puerto Rican revolutionaries put it all on the line for their community. After the film (roughly 40 minutes long) there will be a collaging workshop where you can collage a container and take home a plant starter! Join us as we honor all who have fought for us to be here today and let us carry on the legacy of creating spaces for our community and all life to thrive in! This event is Free!
