Daniel Lowenstein shows art at galleries, bookstores, cafes and restaurants in the Denver area. He works in area theaters as both a designer and scenic painter. Daniel’s awards include a Henry Award for outstanding Scenic Painting for theaters, and the Rick Manzanares Contemporary Art Award. He is a caricature artist as well.
Daniel likes to create art that spans the area between unconscious spontaneity and elaborate design. As art can set the mood, and/or a framework for living. Daniel endeavors to produce art that creates awareness and openness to new possibilities. Themes that run through his art include people, crowds of people, imaginary situations, hallucinatory visions, and nature.
Mural works by Daniel can be seen at the Bonfils Blood Center at Lowry, and at the Geology museum at the School of Mines in Golden.
